Day 9 - Tuesday, July 5, 2011

Day nine already! WOW. Feel really good. Certainly feel less bloated and kind of hallow. Breakfast was strawberries, 1/2 banana and 3 table spoons of yogurt. Lunch was cottage cheese and tuna. Dinner steak and salad. I had to work all day so workouts didn't happen. Might try and get a run in later.

Day 8 - Monday, July 4, 2011

Yesterday I was soooooo hungry!!! Just starving! Anyways had to skip breakfast as I was trying to get a report out in the morning. For lunch I had a greek salad with calamari (i peeled off the breaded part), then around 4 I had some chicken and fruit and had a late dinner of chilli. Drank a ton of water.

Day 5, 6, 7, - Friday, July 1, 2, 3, 2011

Day 5
Woke up early this morning and completed the Meltdown challenge. Since it is Canada Day today we went for Breakfast. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs with a slice of ham and tomato slices. Spent the day outside and then went for a BBQ. I made kabobs, bean salad and faux potato salad. I used cauliflower instead of potatoes. It was pretty good. Got to bed early and had a great sleep.

Day 6
Again food was ED friendly and did my workouts. I spent most of the day pool side and worked on my tan. See photo.

Day 7
Food ED friendly, really sore today so didn't do any workouts, but spent a lazy afternoon pool side.

Day 4- Thursday, June 29, 2011

Really haven't been feeling too bad and haven't had any weird detox withdrawals. Feeling great actually. Day four went really well. For breakfast I had watermelon, for lunch salmon, with tomatoes, and veggies arranged on a plate. For dinner I made chicken wraps for everyone but I didn't eat the wrap part. I just ate the chicken, avocado, tomato, cilantro, onion, pepper like a salad, which was topped with lemon juice.

I am currently preparing for my group fitness leadership certificate. I am going to specialize in step classes, so for most of the day I prepared my warmup routine for my instructor which I have to present sometime this weekend. I am doing this program through the YMCA. It is pretty intensive, but I am learning a lot. I figure if I am going to be serious about my health I better take the plunge and really get involved. Once I get my certificate I can teach at the YMCA twice a week. This will definitely keep me motivated. I also teach Belly Dancing and now that our yoga teacher has left I have been asked to lead our group. I really love yoga and would like to take a teacher training course some time in the future. I feel really motivated and excited about this journey and I really enjoy reading all the inspirational stories posted here.

Day 3- Wednesday, June 28, 2011

Wow felt pretty good. Had a great breakfast which was a three egg omelet with water melon. I drank the required amount of water and lots of decaf tea. Did my regular workout at the gym and the required meltdown challenge for the day. Also weighed myself this morning and I weighed 178.6 woowoo. Start weight is 179.2 so lost 1/2 a pound. Very proud. Pat pat pat. Did feel like eating lunch but had an early dinner. Homemade chicken cesar salad with corn on the cob to start follow by simmered muscles.

Day 2- Tuesday, June 27, 2011

Felt great this morning got to bed early last night. Slight head ache this morning but soon went away. I am really excited to start this challenge. I just taste the results. I want them so bad. I have been battling the bulge for the last 5 years and have minor successes, but as soon as I go off the plan it all comes back on. I think I reach a weight (not my goal weight) and think, "oh I don't look soooo bad at this weight", then I start self sabotaging my efforts. Do I not deserve to look and feel great? Yes I do and this time I am going to fight tooth and nail until I get there.
