Well went for a 5km run this morning, when I say run it is more like a light jog. Then came home and got ready for the Antique show here in town. We had two booths and had to get them set up. It was a crazy weekend. Saturday was spent all day at the Antique show then Sat night it was a friend's birthday party, but had to duck out early. I had to leave for a special site visit at 11:30 pm . There is a line of cairns or rock piles on this hill near the Sundial Butte Medicine Wheel that my boss believes is a solstice line of some sort. So got my gear together to go camp out at the site and watch the sun rise. I brought some people I work with from the TLU office on the Blood Reserve. So we drove out (about 1 hour drive) and tried to located the site. It was pitch black and there was cloud cover so my GPS wasn't working too great. Anyways we located the site around 2:30 am and set up camp. We were exhausted so went to sleep. I got up to flag the cairns and make tea for everyone one. We all gathered at 5:20 am to witness the sun rising over our line, but it was rainy and cloudy so we couldn't see it! UGH! Anyways we thought we would go visit the Medicine Wheel, which is about 3 km away (you have to picture this is in the middle of nowhere in a sea of prairie, so not many people around). We arrived and there was a group from Red Crow College doing a ceremony at the MW. They had tea and coffe and we knew alot of the people so it turned out to be an awesome experience. I was really tired though. Got home at 8 am (June 21) then crashed for 3 hours, then went to the antique show and then was in bed by 8 pm. The picture is of my coworkers walking around the Wheel. You can see the central cairn.
