Day 22 short and sweet

Well the fasting went okay up until about 5pm then I just bonked! Dinner wasn't till 7 but I just had to eat something so I had three slices of deli turkey meat. For dinner I had baked salmon, veggies and salad. Workouts body weight, ICP and tread mill. Didn't have time to get last workout in. Trainhard everyone only 8 more days. What has everyone got planned for after the 30 days?

Day 20
Got all my exercises in ...and it is nice to know how much we are burning ...thanks Sarah for that post. I know exercising once a day after day thirty will be a breeze. I am thinking of doing one of Craig Ballentine's weight lifting workouts for the next two months after this and of course I am going t o stick with ED. The cookbook has been a lifesaver! I get alot of great ideas and adapt them to my own tastes. I am definitely getting stronger and able to do a real push up (5 in a row) and I want to get to ten by the time this challenge is over. I am also really trying to focus on goal setting both long term and short term. One of the goals I have had for a very long time (20 years) is to take a fashion design course. I finally signed up for one and its available online. Very excited and grateful to be able to fulfill my dream.
Food wise breakfast; eggs, lunch; tomato soup, dinner; seafood stir fry with yogurt for dessert and of course copious amounts of water and tea. Feeling really great and I hope to see some major results on weigh day.

Day 21 CARB DAY
Three down and four to go, Meltdown, which I will complete after this post! The video Dax put up showing the guy hauling a team mate on his back to the end zone was really motivational and I am definitely going to give these last nine days all that I can. I have only lost 8 pounds, but I am happy with that and will continue with ED until I reach my goal weight.
Food 2 eggs, salad with a chicken breast and 1/2 cup of rice, spaghetti with gluten free noodles.

Day 17, 18 and 19 8lbs and 10.5 inches so far

Well things are starting to move. Two inches off my chest and two inches off my waist and hips. Very happy about that. I have lost 8 lbs so far, which isn't too crazy and I am okay with that since I lost some exercise time. 10 days to go though so there is still hope.

Day 17
We left for Jasper today so I woke up early and did my MD. I ate a lot of carbs yesterday so I decided to fast today since I was just going to be sitting in the car most of the time. lt is an 9 hour drive. We stopped in Edson over night and the hotel we stayed at had a wicked gym so I did the ICP and ran on the tread mill and then did the DB matrix while watching the golden globe awards. We had no other choice but to eat out so we picked a Greek Restaurant and I order herbal tea and chicken skewers and Greek salad. When it came I had forgotten to ask for no feta, and I tried to pick most of it out. Got to bed at 11 pm and sleep fairly well. Throughout the day I drank lots of water and herbal tea.
Day 18
We woke up early and hit the road because we were still 1.5 hours away from Jasper. For breakfast I had a fruit salad and mint tea. We arrive at Parks Canada and loaded the desks and lights we bought at an online auction. This took most of the afternoon. When we were done we found a cute little cafe and I had a salad and lentil soup for lunch. After tying down our tarp we hit the road and stayed the night in Edson again. For dinner I had a Greek salad with no feta this time. This hotel also had a great gym and I hit it pretty hard. 25 minutes on the tread mill followed by the Body Weight workout which is awesome. So didn't get to do the other two workouts, but I did what I could. Drank lots of water throughout the day and lots of tea.
Day 19
Woke up and I had yogurt and fruit for breakfast. We drove home all the way with out stopping so didn't have a chance to workout. For lunch I had a Chef's salad with no cheese and for dinner I had Chili and salad. Then went to bed tired. Drank lots of water throughout the day and lots of tea.

Day 15 and Jan 16 MD 2010

I was just sorting through my paperwork while getting ready to leave tomorrow for Jasper and I saw my notes for Day 15. I completely forgot to post the rest of Day 15. . . I got all my workouts in no prob and had 2 eggs with tomato, cilantro, onion and lemon for breakfast, for lunch I had a spinach salad and for dinner scallops and lobster and salad. Yesterday was actually a special day for me because I signed up for a 2 year online fashion design course. I have always loved sewing and making my own clothes and I finally got the courage to sign up! I am very excited! I start next week.

DAY 16

Yikes only manage to get one workout in DB Matrix! Work is insane! Trying to get all my reports in before the end of the Week before my fashion design course begins. I have many ideas of the different clothes I want to make.

Food today... Sushi for breakfast, Omelet for Lunch and Lentil soup for Dinner. Little high on the Carbs today so going to fast tomorrow. I will be away until Tuesday Day 18. Going to Jasper for work and will try like crazy to get my workouts in. I just finished packing my weights, mat and exercise workbook. I am a bit panicked because there are only 14 days left and I have still a lot to loose. I have been thinking about after the 30 days though. I will stick to the ED using the WAVE method and the fasting. I really want to get to my goal weight of 155 pounds and beyond. I am really going to bust a butt when I get back and get in as many workouts as I can in the next few days. I have to spend 2 nights in a hotel and they usually have a workout room so I should be okay.

Day 14 Jan 14 MD 2010

Oh my gosh it is hard to believe that it is already half way! Besides a couple of bumps in the road (kinked neck day 4 and 5 plus not feeling well Day 12 and 13) I am doing pretty good. Can't wait to measure and weigh myself on the 15th. I also starting really focusing on my goal setting after the 30 days are over.

Day 11 Jan 11 MD 2010

I felt really bloated yesterday and today so I kinda fasted today. This morning I juiced a whole cucumber and a bunch of celery. I got an awesome juicer for xmas from my parents and wow I love it! I went to the gym and let her rip for 25 min on the treadmill. I don't want to lose my endurance because I want to run more once the weather improves. After that I did some work as usual. I am an archaeologist and when I am not in the field I am in front of the computer writing reports. I did the DB Matrix this afternoon and the Power Circuit. Love the DBM! Still have the pyramid to do tonight. I am off to belly dance rehearsals and will have dinner after.

Day 10 Jan 10 MD 2010

Woke up this morning feeling great (a bit bloated though) and did my first workout out after breakfast, which was a fantastic omelet followed by leftover stir fry for lunch. There were a few gluten free noodles in the mix but I hope that doesn't do too much damage. Dinner is meatloaf. Not really hungry though. Just finished my last workout ICP.

Day 8 and Day 9 Meltdown 2010 lost 5lbs and 5.5 inches lost

Well after a week of ED I am finally feeling tip top. I went through caffeine/sugar/wine withdrawal the first few days, then I kinked my neck and out was out for two days. Then with the wave diet I felt a bit light headed, but now my energy levels are up up up. I am in bed by 10:30/11:00 pm by the latest and sleeping like a baby. Taking my supplements religiously and really sticking to the plan. Things are starting move and I feel great. I was looking at my results last round and I can see where I was making mistakes especially when it comes to the wave diet. I was eating way to many carbs during the three protein days. Now I have cut out carbs almost completely during those days and what a difference! I understand how it exercising during those days burns fat instead of sugar. If your body is burning sugar it's not burning fat that is for sure. I am making slight adjustments to my work out schedule as well. Since I am not a morning person I find that starting my first work out after breakfast is best. I get better results. I am also adding weights here and there it see how that will effect my results that is why there are fluctuations in my numbers. I am very determined to get to where I want to be which is 155 by the end of this challenge. I haven't cheated on the diet but, I am behind 2 days behind on the exercises since I hurt my neck.



This is a proven method and I am sticking to it like glue. I also understand what it means when DAX says he is a COACH. This makes perfect sense. I used to race road bikes (peddle kind) and our coach was there to help us be the best racers we could be; he wanted us to win and reach our goals. I remember how great I felt when I won my one and only race... the first thing I did was thank my coach. That was along time ago, but I will never forget that feeling, so thank you DAX for your honesty and support.



The workouts are becoming much easier especially the ICP. I will probably do the second round twice if that makes sense. Also the last exercise of the power circuit is getting easier. I have been able to do it but it takes a while. My favorites are pyramid and of course MELTDOWN love those.

Had to measure thighs twice to make sure I was seeing right and also had to weigh myself twice to make sure I was right! Still have the ICP to go. Walk my dog and the PC.

Well thought I was back in the game! My neck was still sore so went back to the chiropractor and got another adjustment! I didn't do the regular exercises, but just did some leg work. My neck is fine now and I just finished the pyramid workout for day 6. YAY!!

Today was actually a bad day. I woke up with the worst kink in my neck and I couldn't move. Went to chiropractor and he made the necessary adjustments but told me to take it easy. All this to say this morning feel much better and am back in the game. I lost 1.2 lbs and 1 inch overall.

Day 3 Jan 3, 2010

So woke up feeling tight and sore! I was at 178.6 yesterday and this morning was at 179.4 crap. But as Dax says it could be the detoxing process and it is almost my TOTM. JUST FOCUSING oN DAY 30!I am finding the 4th workout hard to do so I have been inventing ways to incorporate this workout into everyday chores like house cleaning. I vacuumed and mopped the floor like never before! Does that count?

Day 2 Jan 2, 2010 Meltdown 2010 is now official

Well I wasn't doing too bad this morning; a little stiffness in my neck and shoulders. Numbers were down for my first workout which I am not surprised. DOMS set in around 3 pm, and boom, my legs and butt were very sore. Sitting down was a chore. However managed to get through workout two. Still have the PC to complete, and afterward I am going to STRETCH, so no real 4th workout. So according to the scale I have gained 12 pounds since the summer. I was at 166.8 now at 178.8, so I am going to have to work extra hard! Posted is my photo taken on day one.

Day 1 Jan 1, 2010 Happy New Year!

The party is over and it feels great to get back to routine. This Christmas was pretty hectic. Although I did try to restrain myself, I did give in to my Grandma's most amazing cookies and chocolate of course.

Really tired no problem going to bed early tonight. Will post photos and measurements tomorrow. I am kind of scared of stepping on the scale.
